Nearshore Charters

Half Day Inlet Charters:

These Ocracoke charter trips are great for groups who have shorter vacations and cannot spend the full day on the water, or are looking to get their “feet wet” on the fishing scene for the first time.

  • What do you fish for on half day charters? On these charters we may target any range of species depending on the time of year, weather conditions, and what you are looking to do. We spend some days fishing along the beach for spanish and blues, or we may ease a little further off to some live bottom for bottom fishing opportunities. Our primary style of fishing on these trips is trolling clarkspoons for spanish mackerel and bluefish.
  • Special Note! If you are looking for a shark fishing charter, just let us know when you book and we will set up to target sharks on these half-day trips.
  • Charter Duration: On these charters you can choose either a morning or afternoon option. Morning trips depart early morning, and return by lunch. Afternoon trips depart around lunch, and return around 4pm.
  • Rate: $550.00 per half-day for the entire boat, including bait, tackle, ice, fuel, and crew. You are allowed to bring up to 6 people. This does not include mate tip, which typically ranges from 15-25%.

Half Day Wreck Fishing Charter:

On these Charters we typically fish from 5-12 miles offshore. They are good for groups wanting to target larger fish species, but who are not able to make it on a full day offshore trip.

  • Fish Species targeted: On these trips the fish species we target depends on the time of the year. Amberjack, king mackerel, cobia, albacore, sharks, and an assortment of bottom fish are found at different parts of the year.
  • Charter Duration: On these charters you can choose either a morning or afternoon option. Morning trips depart early morning, and return by lunch. Afternoon trips depart around lunch, and return around 4pm.
  • Rate: $725.00 per half-day for the entire boat, including bait, tackle, ice, fuel, and crew. You are allowed to bring up to 6 people. This does not include mate tip, which typically ranges from 15-25%.

Sunset Cruise/Nearshore Charter Combo:

This is a great relaxing charter for anyone visiting Ocracoke who wants to spend a great evening on the water around Ocracoke Island. This charter trip typically departs the harbor 2 hours prior to sunset, and returns around sunset. What we fish for depends on the time of year, but primary species include spanish mackerel, bluefish, cobia, and drum. Its a fantastic way to view the island from a different point of view during a beautiful time of day. Grab your friends, a few cold beverages, and enjoy Ocracoke as you’ve never seen it before!

  • Rate: $400 for the boat, and you may bring up to 6 people.
