Let me start by saying our thoughts and prayers go out to all of those suffering from the current global pandemic. Here on Ocracoke we are doing just fine. There have been no cases reported thus far. The Island is currently shut down to everyone but permanent residents and contractors. We are hoping to get things opened back up by around May 15. If you are thinking about booking a fishing trip this summer, please give us a call and lets get something set up. In light of recent events, we have updated our cancellation policy to allow cancellations up to 1 week prior to your trip.
On a more positive note, spring has sprung and the fish are definitely here. A couple of private boats have been offshore on fun trips and reported great wahoo fishing with a decent number of tuna around as well.
Nearshore the bluefish and drum are here in good numbers, and the spanish mackerel and cobia shouldn’t be very far behind.
